- GSO published Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances and the full enforcement came on the 1st of July 2016, this Technical Regulation deals with safety essential requirements and EMC.
- There are two lists for two categories of electrical equipment depending on their degree of hazard to persons, property and environment referred to as list (1) and list (2).
- The Manufacturer shall affix the GCC Conformity Marking in accordance with the relevant Gulf Technical Regulations and requirements to each individual electrical equipment that is in conformity with the requirements of the Gulf Technical Regulations in force.
